The Bowery Residence
Minimal, Light, Refined
Design Language
This 1880s cast-iron building holds one of SoHo's most thoughtfully designed spaces. Twelve-foot ceilings. Massive windows overlooking cobblestone streets. And an interior that proves minimalism doesn't mean cold. The design language borrows from wabi-sabi—celebrating imperfection and transience. Original wood floors show their age proudly. A Japanese soaking tub sits beneath exposed pipes. The kitchen is Shaker-simple, all white oak and marble. Furnishings are sparse but considered: a custom platform bed, a single Eames lounge chair, floating shelves displaying ceramics from local artists. This is New York living at its most intentional.
The Ritual
Sunday mornings begin with coffee from Devoción, then the farmer's market in Union Square, returning to cook a slow breakfast in the light-flooded kitchen.
